Weekend full of WONDERFUL

What a magical, weekend
full of WONDERFUL...
(I bought everyone a black shirt
and begged for them to give me 30 minutes
to take a family picture...)
I LOVE it!!!

( Brook, Brent, Me, Brad, Little Brady, & Brenae)
Brent came down this weekend for his little sister's birthday party..
The girls decided not to have their big party due to the swine flu messing up their school for the ten days it was closed.. They didn't get to pass out their invitations and all the teams were having playoff games and they were afraid no one would get to come..
And.....
there is just not much worse in this world than having a party and no one coming..
So.... We still had our own family party this weekend...

She let Brady open some of her 16 presents(how ever old my kids are that's always how many presents they get) some of them are really tiny... ha
Now Brady really didn't know what he was doing... but man it was fun...
Ripping and tearing up paper was just more fun than we all realized...
space
He also had to try on some of her stuff. ha ha

And help blow out the candles...

And.... steal all the attention...

MY 2 boys.... One almost 20 and the other 1 year old...
but........I wouldn't have it any other way...

Now ... that melts a mother's heart every time....

We all went to the bowling alley Saturday night for a 3 on 3 tournament...
I don't know if it's age or wisdom... but the older I get the more family times together mean more to me than anything money can buy...
It is TRUE that some things are PRICELESS..

Then.... When we got home we all sat around the couch piled up together and watched a movie...
But... not before Brook fixed Brady's hair (or total lack of) in a Mohawk..
And his gangster pants...
He thought he was something close to awesome...

However.... it didn't take long
for him to get back in his usual attire...
(a diaper) ha

I know it wasn't a weekend get away to some exotic island, or a family trip to Disney Land.... but to me... it just couldn't get much better... Sometimes life's greatest gifts are right under your nose...
May we all make the time to see how amazing our families truly are...
No amounts of money can buy back what you lose when they're gone..

Staci, You have a beautiful family. They are who they are because they come from you. You ahve a bunch of fun to come in your world. I like the pictures of your backs, it is like you are all looking into the future...together... and that is really nice...
