First Wreck

space
WELL... It has happened...
Brook had a wreck today.
I knew in her voice when I got the call that something was wrong.
She was getting up on I20 on her way to the lake with friends for their Friday FUN...
And she was doing that looking in front, beside, and behind all at the same time thing...
WHEN WHAM..
She was looking back when she should have been looking front.
space

Thank goodness no one was at all hurt.
Poor Brook's car is a mess, but the other guy had literally 3 scratches on his bumper..
I've had the same done to mine with a basketball.
I must say he was without a doubt
the rudest man
I have come across in a long while.
After the wreck he got out of his car looked at his bumper and got back in his truck..
Never once even looked at the girls, asked if they were ok, scared or hurt.
We pulled up to the wreck at the same time as the policeman and moved the girls off the freeway into a parking lot. The whole time we were there the man never said a single word. It was blatantly clear that the girls were scared to death.. I may be behaving overly mothersome... but I can't imagine being in a wreck with 2 young girls and not even asking if they were ok...
I hope his basketballs worth of damage was worth it....RUDE.

New Stuff

I really do have some great new stuff
to show my friends in the BLOg world
but my computer is still
driving me totally CRAZY.....
It takes so long to do anything
and my A.D.D. kicks into overdrive
while I am sitting here waiting.
Hope to get it all fixed soon..
IF not I will just load and work on my patience.

Lost MY Mind

Ok... Seriously.....
This computer issue is about
TO SEND ME
over the edge of not so fabulous...
But... Since I wasn't in such a hurry today
I let this ole' machine take its forever sweet time
to get the stuff done that I wanted to post..
I had too much to share to just let it sit there. ha ha

This is my incredible, fabulously, wonderful new necklace I bought while I was in Snyder this week. An extremely talented sweet girl made it custom just for me...
HENCE the wonderful black and white
polka dot bead
that it completely my favorite one.
If I were a necklace I would look exactly like this..
I LOVE IT.....
Talented people who do quality work are just worth their weight in gold..
Thank you Stormy so much..
If any of my dear BLOG friends want to see more of her work or make a special order yourself... YOU can go to her BLOG.
You will surely be so inspired.

Before I left to go out of town I shot another Senior..
I must tell you
I have never been so fooled by a shy gal..
What over-the-moon wonderful she was..
When I pulled out that camera she was magnificent..
We got some of the best expressions I have gotten in all my years of shooting.
NOW that is a girl who truly did exactly what I asked her.. SHINE
I will have more of her to share with you later.
space
I shot another Senior when I got to Snyder..
Now this makes me feel old for sure when I taught this guy in his 1st grade play...
AND now he's leaving High school headed off into the BIG world..
I once told my friend
that the only way you can tell time is passing
is to look into the faces of KIDS...
I can tell you that for sure 12 years have passed... WOW
space

My second shoot in Snyder has turned out to be one of my all time very favorite shots ever.. Who can resist an awesome guy, an old Studabaker and a field full of wonderful..

I will have more of this to share later... Jennifer... You've gotta be so proud..

It is always so good to go and visit your friends, but it is so great to get back home too. My yard knew I had been gone and needed a big drink of water, some weeds pulled and of course I had a helper.. While I was pulling weeds I told Brady to water my tree. He was watering.... but not my tree... Instead it was his legs, his body, his diaper, and his car.. I was so hoping he wouldn't stop before I could get to my camera... What an angel I have all wet and slippery..

This is my precious GRANY..

The one person in the world who most inspires me. How I would cherish another day with her.. The world was a better place when she was in it.. In all my life I never heard her say one bad thing about a single soul. She would feed anyone who walked through the door, and sang as loud as she could off key at church cause she was singing to Jesus and he didn't care... What a joy to my soul it is to have her twinkle in my memories..

My mother had this pillow made of her favorite picture of my Grany. I took a picture of it when I was at her house Thursday. I have wanted to start a pillow making venture for over a year now, and GRANY once again inspired me.. So this weekend I am going to make pillows. I had my new family picture put on canvas so I could give this adventure a place to begin... I am so excited to try something new.. I will show you my pillow full of polka dots when I'm all done..

Now what could be a better combination... Pillows and Polka Dots.. A southern gal can't ask for more.

Computer CRAZY

I've been trying to get something posted since I got home yesterday.....
BUT my computer is having a serious
BAD HAIR DAY....
I spent almost 3 hours last night doing something that normally would take about 30 minutes.
I was having a major "come to Jesus"....
Feeling more than tested in the department of PATIENCE....
YUCK ( I think I barely passed)
So... After spending an entire day today trying to continue to figure it all out.
I called my Techno Friend ( thanks Mark) and he said I am having a registry problem and that I need to run some sort of registry cleaner to unbog my system....
I will work on that tomorrow...
I have so much to show and share
and my life without pictures
is just no fun and totally not fabulous...
May our tests be short and our rewards worth the battle..

Putting the F in FUN

How incridble it is to have a Senior
that will just do absolutely anything you ask
and have the greatest facial expressions to go with it...
It just truly puts the F in FUN....
I feel so amazingly blessed to do something I find so exciting and fabulous for a living..
LUCKY to BE ME.....

A'Lex was such a great gal to shoot...
We laughed and drove absolutely all over town.
But... we got some of the best images to show for our day of giggles..

Thank you to all my SENIORS for making what I do such a BLAST!!

OUR version of Taylor Swift...
Now that just makes you want to dress up and sit on someone's old porch..
(Which by the way is exactly what we did!!)

I am headed to Snyder again for a couple of days for another shoot and to pass out pictures, packages, and presents oh my..... I'm staying with my sweet, precious friend who is for sure the only human I know on the planet who has
no computer....
SO... I'll be out of touch until sometime on Thursday....
(but sometimes that can be a nice treat)

May we all have a job that makes bubbles in our soul !!!
Now that makes for a darn good day !

Weekend full of WONDERFUL

What a magical, weekend
full of WONDERFUL...
(I bought everyone a black shirt
and begged for them to give me 30 minutes
to take a family picture...)
I LOVE it!!!
space
( Brook, Brent, Me, Brad, Little Brady, & Brenae)
Brent came down this weekend for his little sister's birthday party..
The girls decided not to have their big party due to the swine flu messing up their school for the ten days it was closed.. They didn't get to pass out their invitations and all the teams were having playoff games and they were afraid no one would get to come..
And.....
there is just not much worse in this world than having a party and no one coming..
So.... We still had our own family party this weekend...
space
She let Brady open some of her 16 presents(how ever old my kids are that's always how many presents they get) some of them are really tiny... ha
Now Brady really didn't know what he was doing... but man it was fun...
Ripping and tearing up paper was just more fun than we all realized...
space
He also had to try on some of her stuff. ha ha

And help blow out the candles...

And.... steal all the attention...

MY 2 boys.... One almost 20 and the other 1 year old...
but........I wouldn't have it any other way...

Now ... that melts a mother's heart every time....

We all went to the bowling alley Saturday night for a 3 on 3 tournament...
I don't know if it's age or wisdom... but the older I get the more family times together mean more to me than anything money can buy...
It is TRUE that some things are PRICELESS..
space

Then.... When we got home we all sat around the couch piled up together and watched a movie...
But... not before Brook fixed Brady's hair (or total lack of) in a Mohawk..
And his gangster pants...
He thought he was something close to awesome...
space
However.... it didn't take long
for him to get back in his usual attire...
(a diaper) ha
space
I know it wasn't a weekend get away to some exotic island, or a family trip to Disney Land.... but to me... it just couldn't get much better... Sometimes life's greatest gifts are right under your nose...
May we all make the time to see how amazing our families truly are...
No amounts of money can buy back what you lose when they're gone..

I WANT THOSE BOOTS !!

If you ever just want to have a day where you can feel young and see all the wonderful clothes (you're probably to old to be wearing) then take pictures of a Senior..
space
Back in my day.... ha
My friends used to call me the Fashion Police..
I have always loved clothes...
Buying them, Wearing them,
and Seeing people ROCK them..
SO.... I thought I'd share a few of my favorites outfits
and one of my favorite Seniors just to show you what I mean...

Now I'm sorry.... but that just makes me want to buy some new boots and sit in a pasture..

We had the best time
wondering all over downtown searching for just the place that made us say WOW....

Thank you BRITTANY for making my day full of smiles..
space

And........ I am still looking on-line for a pair of those boots...
Now that my friends....
would just "Make my day!"
space
May we all have an incredible outfit that we just look "hot" in, and don't forget a rockin' pair of boots to go with it...

Senior Season

Senior Season has almost officially come to an end..
I did another one yesterday, I have 2 more this coming week,
and the excitement will truly end for another year..
What a wonderful, hectic, busy time it has been..
space

Something about Seniors just fills you with HOPE that all is exciting in the world.
They are always so full of energy, great clothes, and a fabulous desire to do absolutely any pose to look hot, and magazine marvelous..
space
So... My deepest thanks to all the SENIORS I've shot this season.
You make my world so much more fun.
You give me a taste of youth, a desire to be creative, and a reason to drive all over town looking for great UGLY walls and SUPER unique places.
space

I hope you never lose that FIRE that makes you think anything is possible.. Keep believing in the greatness the world has to offer... and you'll be surprised how much it WILL.

THANK you Shelbi for being so much FUN...

May we all have a picture to look back on in which we truly think "We are AMAZING."
